Following the excellent club autojumble held in Tougher's, Newbridge, Co. Kildare on Sept 15th, the Southern Region will hold a similar event on Sunday November 3rd.

This is open to members and non-members and items for sale MUST be Mini-related or related e.g. tools, oil, etc. We will not welcome general bric-a-brac as there are plenty of car boot sales for that.

We are limiting the number of stalls to 10 and paid-up IMOC members will get priority if booking stalls.

Date: Sunday, November 3rd 2013
Venue: The Ramble Inn, Halfway, Ballinhassig, Co. Cork on the N71 Bandon road outside Cork city.
Time: 12 noon to 3pm

The cost of stands are as follows:
IMOC members ~ no charge
Non IMOC members ~ €10.00
Trade stands ~ €10.00

Soup and sandwiches will be available on the day.

To enquire about booking a stall, send me a PM or call me at the number below.

Billy

Cork Mini Centre will have a stand at the autojumble. If there is anything you need to order, let me know beforehand and I can have it there for collection.

3 weeks to go so giving everyone a chance to clear out Mini parts they want to sell. If you want to book a stall, let me know. Tables are free for paid-up IMOC members and €10 for non-members. Only Mini stuff allowed for sale. I've turned down a well-known autojumbler as he sells all sorts of vintage stuff.

That was before the budget!

Are you taking a stand? If you're a paid-up club member, it will cost you nothing for a stall.

Sorry but no, Billy.
I don't feel like paying double the cost it was yesterday.
Best of luck with the day anyway.

It's nearly the end of October.
€20 for 2 month's membership !!!!!
Just for a stand at the Autojumble.
You're not really convincing me Billy.
Maybe next year.
John.

Seriously though, between trying to make the Autotest car even lighter, and a Micra-engined Mini project (must start taking a few photo's) my weekends are fairly full at the moment.

Just to clarify the club membership. Membership runs from Jan-Dec but at this time of year, any NEW members who sign up between now and Dec 31st are covered for the following calendar year. That's been the club policy for many years so as to encourage new members all year round.

PM me if you are bringing stuff to flog.

Great stuff John. It's appreciated that ye are coming down from Dublin. The Ramble Inn is 9 miles south west of Cork city centre on the N71 Bandon Road. Check Halfway Ballinhassig on Google Maps to find it.

I found this B&B 1 mile from the pub http://www.flushingmeadow.net/. The Ramble Inn is a lovely pub but like all rural pubs nowadays, it can be quiet. I was there a few weeks ago with my wife and we had a great chat about all things vintage with a few locals we met on the night.

According to booking.com, The Park Inn up by the airport are doing a twin room for this Saturday night for €69. Follow this link: http://www.booking.com/hotel/ie/greatso ... e47ff6ccX5

Aim to be at the pub at 11am Sunday morning to get set up. We'll be opening to the public from 12 noon.

Any problems, give me a shout.

Billy

Confirmed stalls so far:

1. Cork Mini Centre
2. Minionly
3. Armo
4. Billy
5. Eamospud
6. Liam Cotter - IMOC Merchandise
7. Kevin Ring

There's still space for a few more stalls and don't forget stalls are free to IMOC members.

The sun is shining in Cork right now - looking good for the autojumble. While the stalls will be indoors, there's loads of old vintage machinery on display at The Ramble Inn.

Take the N71 from Cork City and a few miles out the Bandon road, you will see the Ramble Inn on the right hand side just before the roundabout.

Entry is free. Soup and sandwiches available in the bar.

Thanks to everyone who turned up for yesterday's autojumble, especially the three lads from Dublin. The general feeling was that it was a success and could be run again next year. Thanks to Mary and Alan Barry for the use of The Ramble Inn. Over the soup and sandwiches, several members expressed an interest in having a monthly Southern Region meeting in the Ramble as a way of meeting up with other members, particularly over the quiet winter months. The Southern Region was formed in The Ramble Inn in 1998 and we had great attendances there at monthly meetings. We'll announce a date shortly.

What was really interesting was the number of Mini owners from West Cork who turned up yesterday, where the autojumble was their first dealing with the club. Treasurer Liam Cotter signed up several new members on the day.

Here's a few photos taken late in the day as lads were starting to pack up.
