MTM2016 takes place this year from Friday September 30th to Sunday October 2nd. Full entry details and an entry form can be downloaded by clicking on the link below:

The route is being organised again by Joe Conboy and Eamonn Murphy and as Aidan McGrath is busy with IMM preparations, Stephen Hayde has stepped up to look after the administration of entries, etc.

We have teamed up again with Temple Street Childrens Hospital as our chosen charity and entrants can request a sponsorship car, if required.

For 2016, we have introduced payment by Paypal so no excuses to get those entries in. Details of accommodation will be sent out once entries are received.

Hi folks,

If you intend to pay your MTM entry by Paypal, please send in your entry form FIRST by either e-mail or post. We will then issue an invoice to you which you can then pay. Once we have both your entry form and payment, we will issue a receipt.

So far, a couple of payments have been made to a personal account and another to a completely incorrect one. We're delighted you're keen to enter MTM2016 but some e-mail addresses on their own give no clue to the identity of the sender. If invoices are issued for all Paypal entries, we will have all the info we need.

Thanks to everyone who has sent in their entries so far. MTM2016 should be a good one.

Hotels are looking for numbers ( We have a number of rooms block booked on both ends ) If We cant fill them they want them back to re sell . So get those entries in asap.
Finishers awards will only be handed to persons named on entry forms . so if u want to update your ( TBA on) entry form contact Stephen as awards and grill plaques are about to be ordered .

With just over a week till MTM 2016 now is a good time to the final preparations if you have not done so already.

All participants are reminded to ensure that their car is in roadworthy condition and in good mechanical order so as to cover the 450 approx miles from Malin Head to Mizen Head and back to Bantry afterwards. Wheel bearings, ball joints, fan belts, cooling system, drive shafts, brakes, lights and all other systems on your Mini should be checked over and any faults rectified before you set off. The recovery crew will maintain a steady pace behind the last Mini but should you deviate from the route or spend an inordinate amount of time sightseeing, you may be left behind and the recovery crew may not be able to help you should you need assistance. And remember that it is a RECOVERY service and not a breakdown service so if you are unfortunate enough to suffer a breakdown they will endeavour to get you on your way but any large scale mechanical problems will leave them no other choice than to load up your Mini and leave it to a safe place. Proper preparation of your Mini now should help to ensure you complete the event without a hitch and will also enable you to have a better experience without the stress of breakdowns. As MTM2016 is being held on public roads, it is up to each entrant to ensure that their Mini is in full compliance with the rules of the road and has proper insurance cover, tax and nct where applicable.

Below is a list of suggested items to bring with you:
1. A fully inflated spare tyre,a can of tyre weld, a jack and wheel brace.
2. Oil, Brake Fluid,a small jerry can of petrol & Water/Coolant;
3. A set of spanners. 7/16", 1/2", 9/16" will cover most things (11mm, 12mm, 13mm, 14mm if you're stuck)
4. A fan belt, head gasket and a set of points (make sure they are the right ones for your Mini)
5. A coil and a condenser(make sure they are the right ones for your Mini)
6. A bottle of good rad sealer.
7. A mobile phone/charger and a warning triangle.
8. Enough cash to pay for your accommodation, petrol, food, and drink!
9. A Sat Nav for use with the tulip diagrams.
10.A head gasket
11.A tow rope

Best of luck to everyone setting off today and tomorrow for this weekend's MTM2016. As always, the guys have a great route in store but don't forget, it's not a race or rally and we want everyone to enjoy themselves and get home safely afterwards.
