| I put a decat pipe on my '93 SPi shortly after I bought it some time back. Very easy swap, bolts may be rusty though, mine weren't. | AFAIK the vintage road tax currently kicks in at 30 years, so that's 1987. NCT required from 1980 on. |

| what RPM are you running at 75mph? is the cam timed correctly? also is the spring/needle correct? could be that the carb-piston is fully up (open) when you get to 75, so wont give more - in that case you might need a heavier spring. see this thread: http://www.theminiforum.co.uk/forums/topic/146506-... |

Given all that's been said above and before you start down that road, consider a fully sorted supercharger install. Not the same power admittedly, but 90% of driving will never use the full power of a vtec.
Disclaimer: I've never built a vtec, not even driven one. |

| I have just received notification of the renewal of my insurance and shocked at the increase. I have a multi car policy with AXA with 2 cars on it. Last year if was €239 and now it's €359. Over 50% increase. Can anybody give me suggestions of other insurances companies that do vintage multi policie... |

| axa, and yes, they are quite cheap - its down as a second car, limited mileage but full comprehensive, step back windscreen & recovery etc. |
